Achievement categories
Story & First Steps
The early-game achievements tied to the main questline and your first day in Witchspire. These unlock naturally if you play through the intro without skipping objectives.
- ›Awaken — Complete the tutorial and step into the first biome.
- ›First Bond — Tame your first familiar.
- ›Heart of the Spire — Upgrade your Heart to level 2.
- ›Homebound — Build a fully functional base (workbench, bed, chest).
Familiar Mastery
Tame, evolve, and bond with the full familiar roster. These tend to take the longest because each bond requires specific feeding schedules and time investment.
- ›A Coven of One — Tame 5 distinct familiars.
- ›A Coven of Many — Tame 25 distinct familiars.
- ›Soul Keeper — Reach maximum bond level with any familiar.
- ›Family Tree — Unlock a familiar's full evolution chain.
Crafting Mastery
Discover, craft, and master the recipe book. The EA recipe list runs deep, and these achievements reward both breadth (one of every type) and depth (max station upgrades).
- ›First Recipe — Craft your first item at any workbench.
- ›Alchemist — Unlock every recipe in the Alchemy Table.
- ›Ritual Master — Craft a full set of ritual candles.
- ›Master of Stations — Max out upgrades on every workbench.
Combat & Bosses
Defeat bosses, clear biomes, and push the difficulty curve. Boss achievements are gated by progression, so they cluster in the mid-to-late game.
- ›First Blood — Defeat your first named enemy.
- ›Spirebreaker — Defeat the first major boss.
- ›Coven Champion — Defeat every boss on Standard difficulty.
- ›Untouchable — Beat a boss without taking damage (Hard or higher).
Exploration & Lore
Find map regions, lore tomes, and hidden locations. These are the achievements you'll miss if you don't read every prompt — the lore pages in particular are easy to skip.
- ›Cartographer — Discover 25 map regions.
- ›World Walker — Discover every biome.
- ›Lore Loremaster — Find every lore tome in a single biome.
- ›Hidden Paths — Discover a hidden location the map doesn't show.
Building & Astral Projection
Push the Astral Projection building system to its limits. These reward creative players who design elaborate bases rather than functional boxes.
- ›First Foundation — Place your first Astral Projection block.
- ›Sky Architect — Build a structure with 200+ placed blocks.
- ›Floating Home — Build a base entirely airborne.
- ›Decorator — Place 50 decorative objects in a single build.
The counts above are estimates derived from the 70+ total and category balance from the EA playtests. Names are placeholder labels — the live Steam list goes here once the build goes gold.
Tips for completionists
Hidden achievements are real
Witchspire follows the modern Steam convention of unannounced achievements — some are visible only after you unlock them, and a handful require specific in-game actions that the quest log never points you toward. If a category above looks light, assume 2–4 hidden entries are folded in.
Some are co-op only
A small subset requires a 4-player coven (e.g. one of the Spirebreaker variants and at least one Coven Champion unlock). If you can't get them solo, jump on the Discord or r/Witchspire — community-run achievement nights are common in the first launch month.
Demo unlocks did not transfer
If you unlocked achievements in the Demo or Next Fest playtest, those do not count toward the EA achievement list. EA achievements are a fresh 70+ tied to the launch save files.
We're verifying the full list live
The exact achievement names and counts above are based on the confirmed 70+ total from the EA Launch FAQ plus community datamines. We're cross-checking against the live Steam list in the first 48 hours of launch and will publish a fully-validated tracker on this page once the build goes gold.
How difficulty affects achievements
Witchspire launches with four difficulty presets — Easy / Standard / Hard / Impossible— and you can tune individual world parameters at session creation. Most achievements unlock on any difficulty, but the combat and boss tiers (Hard-only, Impossible-only variants) gate a handful of the harder entries. If you're planning a completionist run, the recommended path is Standard for the first full playthrough, then a Hard-difficulty save for the gated unlocks.
Achievement names and counts will be confirmed against the live Steam list within 48 hours of the June 10 launch. Witchspire Hub is a fan-made guide and is not affiliated with Envar Games.
